♥ The 9 Month Journey ♥
The first trimester was, well, the first trimester. Full of pure blissful pregnancy symptoms. Tired all the time but my nausea wasn't too terrible. It definitely was not just in the MORNING! It was all day, everyday whenever my tummy would be empty. I am not a puker so I never had the pleasure of throwing up. I have this cool way of talking myself out of puking so that is what I did for about 7 full weeks. My doctor did prescribe Zofran
{Ahhh-mazing drug for nausea and vomiting}
It was what I called my "life-saver" at work. Now, after 12 weeks it really did go away. I could stop taking my Zofran and thank goodness because the side effects were not pleasant on my bowels....[sorry if that's TMI] ♥
The 2nd trimester was HEAVEN! I had way more energy and started to get a lil bump which was way fun for people to start noticing. I felt amazing during this time, and really
loved being pregnant!
This trimester was also the first time I felt the baby move. What was first little flutters soon turned into punches and kicks. ♥ I would find myself praying for women who longed to feel this because it was truly the most amazing feeling I had ever felt. And I was sad for those women who would never get this chance.
14 Weeks
At 18 weeks we went in for our ultra sound and
my mom, dad and sister Erika were able to join Jake and me.
It was fun to see the little babe and we knew we wanted to find out the sex of the baby but we didn't want to find out in the room with an ultra sound tech.
So we decided to throw a gender reveal party.
There, with our friends and family, we bit into a cupcake that revealed
"IT'S A GIRL" by the pink icing in the center ♥
I tried to keep up with the pictures and our baby girl arrived

The 3rd trimester seemed to be coming along great too. I was starting to feel all the aches and pains of being pregnant but feeling the baby move every day was beyond description. Knowing that I was growing a human was often hard to truly understand.
I thanked God every day that He chose me to be this baby's mommy ♥
25 Weeks
26 Weeks pregnant and I have to fit into what?? A ball gown?!??!! Eyye yii yii ♥
Jake's annual Marine Corps Ball would still go on, pregnant or not! I waited until the date was closer and then went shopping. Jake was so sweet and told me to get the dress that fit, and not worry about the price. He wanted me to feel beautiful.
{Such a sweetie, he is}
End of story: We had a great time, with some great people!
My beautiful friend Toni Price was so gracious to take some photos of us and my belly. She does not do this regularly and made a special exception for us. We are forever grateful!
A thursday afternoon {31 weeks 3 days} I was at work and realized I needed to schedule our 3D ultra sound. I called the Dr. office and they informed me they wouldn't do them after 32 weeks because the baby gets too squished in my belly and we had lesser of a chance to get good pictures of her face. So thankfully they had an appointment the next day.....I said "WE'LL TAKE IT" praying that Jake could get off work ♥
32 Weeks
Our ultra sound pictures turned out AMAZING! The tech said she was in perfect position and looking back we cannot believe how much these pictures REALLY showed her features. ♥Technology is so cool ♥
Time kept moving and I kept growing! My friends and family threw me a few beautiful baby showers and this little girl was spoiled at them all. We were finally nearing the end and a little bit of anxiety was setting in! The nursery wasn't finished, we didn't have everything we needed, the house was still a disaster from all the gifts and parties, what if she came early? All of these emotions quickly faded as the days went by and with the help from my mom and sister Jamie for alllllllll of their hard work getting things ready here. ♥
